The theme for this year’s celebration is “In Old Age They Will Still Bear Fruit” (Ps. 92:15). This theme is meant to emphasize how grandparents are a gift to society and the Church. This year, Pope Francis is also extending the opportunity for a plenary indulgence “to the faithful who devote adequate time to visit, in presence or virtually, through the media, their elderly brothers and sisters in need or in difficulty” on July 24. Church of Saint Anne (Bismarck) Pastor, Father Wayne Sattler’s book “And You Will Find Rest” offers insight into what God does in prayer. He'll be offering mini-retreat at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Stanley on Sunday, November 1st, at 6:30 p.m. He’ll speak about the teachings of St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila and what God does in prayer. The Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary is on Thursday, August 15th, and is a holy day of obligation. Plan to attend Mass at 5:15 p.m. at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary or at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Ann.
Our parishes have purchased a subscription to FORMED, which is sort of a "Catholic Netflix."
