Restrictions relevant to the celebration of Mass are as follows:
Holy Communion is only distributed under the species of the host and not under the species of wine. In our parishes, only the priest will distribute Communion.
Communion may now be received either in the hand or on the tongue. If a person's tongue is inadvertantly touched by the priest during distribution, he is to use hand sanitizer immediately, prior to further distribution of the Eucharist.
The Sign of Peace remains suspended.
There will be no offertory procession. The offertory basket is placed near the doors of the church so parishioners may place donations there.
Confession is available at regularly scheduled times, but must be conducted behind a screen. No face-to-face option is available, except in emergency circumstances, of course.
